You’d think with more than 20 years’ experience in the wine industry, Christine Coletta would have more sense than to start a vineyard and a winery. As well as being instrumental in the development of the BC wine industry through the VQA program, Christine has, for the past 15 years, worked on the marketing and branding of dozens of wineries and wine regions – far too many to name, not to mention the confidentiality agreements she signed. Some of them you will know by their tag lines:  “North America’s Hardest to Pronounce Winery,” “The Joint Venture with the Famous Flying Winemaker,” and her most impactful project “No Creeks, Ridges, Mountain or Hills”. ‘Astute’ and ‘innovative’ as well as ‘tenacious’ are some of the words that come to mind when describing Christine’s marketing prowess. With Haywire Winery, she finally puts her skill to use in a business where it’s her own derriere on the line. Putting other peoples’ behinds on the line still continues with Coletta & Associates, a Vancouver-based wine marketing and communications company.
